Terms of Use — Guitalele Tuner & Chords

1. Acceptance

By downloading or using Guitalele Tuner & Chords (the “app”) provided by Ravishan Premerathne (individual developer), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. Intended purpose

The app is a tuner, reference-tone player, chord chart library and guide for guitalele and guitar players, intended for personal, non-commercial practice and tuning.

3. Permitted use

You may install and use the app on devices you own or control.
You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile or redistribute the app, except as permitted by law or by open-source licences that apply to included components.
You may not use the app in any unlawful way or to interfere with its operation.

4. Microphone

The tuner uses your microphone as described in our Privacy Policy. Granting permission is optional, but the tuner needs it to function.

5. Intellectual property

The app, its design, icon, text and code are owned by Ravishan Premerathne or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. The app uses open-source software under its respective licences. Third-party names and trademarks belong to their owners; use of them is descriptive only.

6. Disclaimers

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. Pitch and chord information is provided as a practice aid; we do not guarantee that readings are error-free or suitable for any particular purpose. Results depend on your device’s microphone and environment.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights. These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka.

8. Changes and termination

We may update the app or these terms from time to time; the “last updated” date above shows the latest version. You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it.
